Andrys is a nonbinary Bhaalspawn tiefling sorceror. After escaping the nautiloid and crashing, they were left very confused and morally gray with amnesia about their past. After meeting Astarian, the two became good friends, although Astarian tends to be a bit of a devil on their shoulder, tempting them to give in to their urge for the fun of it sometimes. However, meeting Karlach changed Andrys for the better. Before they fell in love, Andrys was in a short-lived relationship with Shadowheart until she noticed Karlach's feelings for them. They broke up but remained best friends, and Andrys and Karlach soon fell in love. This eventually drove Andrys to strive for the most heroic outcomes possible, following Karlach's lead and fighting against the urge. When they weren't able to control their killing instincts in their sleep, Karlach was there for them, keeping both of them safe until the urge passed. If Astarian is the devil on Andrys' shoulder, then Karlach is the angel. In the end, Andrys was also able to convince Astarian not to ascend, and Andrys was deeply inspired by this along with Shadowheart's betrayal of Shar, leading them to betray Bhaal in a similar fashion. After saving Baldur's Gate, Andrys chose to go to Avernus with Karlach and Wyll, determined not to leave her side after everything they've gone through. After some months in Avernus, the three of them found out that there was a forge they could possibly fix Karlach's engine in. After a reunion 6 months after saving Baldur's Gate, the three headed back to Avernus to scope out the forge and hopefully fix Karlach's engine, allowing them to go home once more.
